By Car

By car: There are many routes from Bangkok.

Using Phahonyothin Highway, to Rangsit, and keep left to use overpass to Highway No.305, parallel to Khlong Rangsit, pass Ongkarak of Nakhon Nayok. Then use Highway No.33 (Nakhon Nayok Prachin Buri), turn right at Samyaek Nong Cha-om at Km.155 to Highway No.319 to Prachin Buri. Total distance is 136 kilometres.
Using Phahonyothin Highway (No.1) to Wang Noi of Ayutthaya, turn right at Km. 90 to Highway No.33 pass Wihan Daeng of Saraburi, and Nakhon Nayok, turn right at Samyaek Nong Cha-om at Km.155 to Highway No.319 to Prachin Buri. Total distance is 164 kilometres.
Using Highway No.304 pass Chacherngsao, Phanom Sarakham, turn to Highway No.319 pass Si Mahosot, to Prachin Buri. The total distance is 158 kilometres.



By Bus

By bus: Regular and air-conditioned buses leave from Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal everyday. For more details, call 0-2936-2852 - 66. There are 2 routes:

Bangkok - Hin Kong - Nakhon Nayok Prachin Buri by 1st class air-conditioned bus No.58, 59, from 05:00 to 21:00 hrs., leaves every 25 minutes. The fare is 85 Baht.
Bangkok - Ongkarak - Nakhon Nayok Prachin Buri by 1st class air-conditioned No.920, 3 times a day, at 05:00, 10:00, and 17:00 hrs. The fare is 75 Baht.



By Train

By rail: There is railway service from Hua Lam Pong Railway Station in Bangkok to Prachin Buri everyday, 7 times at 06:00, 08:05, 09:40, 11:25, 13:10, 15:10, and 17:25 hrs. For more details, contact Travel Service Unit of Sate Railway of Thailand at 1690, 0 2223 7010, 0 2223 7020.

[ Wat Kaeo Pichit ]
Wat Kaeo PichitIs located on the Bangpakong River 2 kilometers east from the center of Prachinburi The old temple was built in 1879, during the reign of King Rama V. The architectural design is mixed between Thai, Chinese, European, and Khmer.

[ Sri Mahasot Ancient City ]
Is located at Ban Kokwat, Tambon Kokpeep, Amphoe Sri Mahosot.
From Prachinburi, follow Route 319 for approximately 20 kilometers then turn left and follow Route 3070 for 1 kilometer. This large ancient city, covering an area of 700 rai, is surrounded by a moat. The city was erected during the Dvaravati Period, and due to the influence of the Hindu of Brahman religions comprised of places of worship, lignums, and other images as well as water pools. there are 100 sites scattered throughout this city.

[ Prachinburi National Museum ]
Prachinburi National Museum Located behind the Prachinburi Provincial Hall, this place holds a collection of invaluable ancient art from Prachinburi and neighboring provinces. There are displays of ancient artifacts from Sri Mahosot, an ancient city of the Dvaravati Period as well as examples of Lopburi and Khmer art; such as, tools, household utensils, statues, and other forms of art.

[ Khao Ito Waterfall ]
Khao Ito Waterfall Is located approximately 12 kilometers from Prachinburi. Follow Route 33 towards Aranyaprathet; then at km.160-161 turn onto a side route and follow for 2 kilometers.
The waterfall comprises of a main stream that wet and cool seasons. Surrounding the area of the falls, is natural forest. This is a popular picnicking spot for locals, There are also stalls selling food and beverages. Nearby, there is the Chakrapong Dam also known as the Khao Ito Dam, which is used for storing water.

[ Takro Waterfall ]
Takro WaterfallIs located at Mooban 8, Tambon Bufai, approximately 16 Kilometers from Amphoe Prachan-takham. Follow Route 33 to Amphoe Prachantakham then turn onto the route to the falls. From the car park, it is another 500 meters walk to the falls. The water flows quickly over a series of huge rocks along a valley of KhaoYai National Park. The surrounding area is forested, which not only provides a cool and shady atmosphere, but also makes a great place for picnicking. There are white papids especially during the wet season.

[ Morakot Historical Park ]
Morakot Historical ParkThis historical site is located at Wat Sramorakot, Tambon Kokthai, Amphoe Sri Mahosot. From Prachinburi, Follow Route 319 for a distance of approximately 23 Kilometers then turn left for approximately 500 meters. This group of ancient ruins were built during the 14th - 18th centuries of the Buddhist Era (7th - 8th centuries A.D. ) Among the ruins, there are Lord Buddha's footprints, which are the largest and oldest in Thailand. Dach footprint is approximately 1.30 meters wide and 3.50 meters long, and has the Wheel of Dharma at the middle of the sole.

[ Tarntip Waterfall ]
Tarntip Waterfall Is located at Moo 10, Tambon Nong Kaeo, 18 Kilometers from Amphoe Prachantakam. From the car park, it is a 500 meters walk to the falls. The water flows over tiers of huge rocks down in deep crystal clear pools that are ideal for swimming. The area is surrounded by natural forest, which is ideal for hiking around the waterfalls. In the area, there are footstalls selling a variety of local food.

[ Si Maha Pho tree ]
is more than 2,000 years old, and is the oldest and the largest of its kind in Thailand. This holy tree, brought from Phutthakhaya, India, grows in Wat Ton Pho Si Maha Pho.

[ Buddhist Historical Site ]
at Sa Morakot is a group of large structures which were built on top of the old structures during believed to be the oldest among footprints found in the country. The site is close to Wat Ton Pho.

[ Wat Bot ]
has three Buddha images lined along the river front, named Phra Mahachinsaiyat. This temple, west of Muang district, is situated in a very peaceful location.

[ Kaeng Hin Phoeng ]
is a rocky stream which draws a large number of rafters during July and November with strong currents. It is on Highway 304.

[ Thap Lan National Park ]
covers the country's last natural ton lan forest. The ton lan plant belongs to the same family as palm trees but is rare. Its bright yellow flowers blossom during April-June. The park is on Highway 304.

[ Wat Santhi Birds Park ]
is a gathering place for numerous types of birds such as Nok (bird) Kwack, Nok Kanam and Nok Krayang bovers should visit this park during July. It is on the road to Wat Bot. But while Wat Bot is to the left side, the park is on the right.
