Elephant Life Experience E.L.E.
Elephant Life Experience in Mae Taman Valle, Mae Tang District. Tourist can learn how to feed your own elephant and be the Mahout. The first task will be to get to know your elephant, by bathing them in the river. Continue with a basic lesson of elephant training techniques including elephant commands in a special dialect of the Karen Language. Once this has been mastered. You are off for Ride through the Jungle with your own elephant to practice your skills. On your return to the lodge, you can relax with refreshments on the balcony, during which time there is a demonstration of elephant artists creating their own masterpieces.
You also have the opportunity to visit the Mahout’s living area (to your interest) before saying farewell to your elephant and returning to the resort.

Start this classic driving route at Chiang Mai on Highway 108. Just before reaching Chom Thong district, turn right and head up on the winding road to Inthanon Mountain. On the way can visit a village which are famed for their hill tribe culture, Baan Sop Hat and Khun Klang villages. At the Inthanon Royal Project Research Station, feast your eyes on gerbera, chrysanthemums (na-wua), Inthanon Lady’s Slipper orchids and paphiopedilum in full bloom. Trekking is a popular activity with both Thai and foreign tourists. Most treks go into the mountainous northern areas, which are home to various hill tribes. Chiang Mai offers unique opportunities for the adventurous. Lush hills and virgin forests are scenic backdrops that will make your trekking by foot or on elephant back truly memorable.

For example, Rafting down the Mae Chaem through Ob Luang George in inflatable boats is available through Mae Sot Travel. Another challenging route is the Mae Tuen in Omkoi District, where the river rushes through virgin forests to end at the Pha Dam Waterfall.
