Amphoe Muang
Huai Pa-Dang Irrigation Water Reservoir
It was created by the dam constructed to block the waterway to the west of town for irrigation purposes. Some 8 kilometers from town on Highway NO.2006, it is a pleasant place for recreation and picnic with scenic natural views in the background, particularly in the morning and late afternoon.

Wat Traiphum
Wat Traiphumis located on Phetcharat Rd., housing a Buddha image named Phra Buddha Maha Thammaracha which has been existing along with Phetchabun. It is cast in the ornamental Lopburi style which has been found by the city inhabitants in the Pa Sak River in front of Wat Triphum and housed in this monastery. Later on, this Buddha image disappeared and was found again at the bottom of Pa Sak River at the very same location. Hence, it has become annual tradition of Phetchabun that Phra Buddha Maha Thammaracha be celebrated in the procession around the city, during Sart Thai Festival, until the procession arrives at the spot where the Buddha image was found. The Governor of Phetchabun, then, carries this Buddha image and dives into the river, an action believed to bring well-being to the city inhabitants.

Wat Mahathat
Situated in Muang Phetchanbun municipality. This monastery is an ancient temple which H.R.H. Prince Damrong presumed that this monastery might be constructed during Sukhothai period. Wat Mahathat has the important objects of worship such as, Phum Khao Binth styled pagoda has been presumed that it might be constructed about B.E. 1926 (1383). This pagoda is a place that comprises Buddha's relics, Orrahan's (saint) ashes, and small images of Buddha in several styles. Two Buddha images of the U-Thong period whose laps are 36 inches wide. One is housed in the main chapel and the other is housed in the vihara of Wat Mahathat.


Amphoe Khao Kho
B.N. Farm
B.N. FarmThis farm is located on Lom Sak-Phitsanulok Road at Km.100 where a 3kms access road branches off to the farm. It is very famous for cultivation of cold weather vegetables in 1,000 rai area such as lettuce, onion, carrot, egg plant, Japanese cucumber, parsley, broccoli and lychee. Strawberry is very famous for its fresh and good taste. There are also many colorful flowers such as Carnation, Gladiolus, Ester etc.

Khao Kho Memorial
Khao Kho MemorialThis memorial was built to worship bravery of civilian, police and military who sacrifice their lives to fight against guerrillas in the area of three provinces: Pitsanulok, Phetchabun and Loei during 1978 to 1982. This memorial is situated on the top of Khao Kho, it was built with marble in triangle shape. The triangle shape means three cooperation's of civilian, police and military.

Khao Kho Palace
is located at Khao Ya, Tambon Thung Samor. Lt. Gen. Pichit Kullawanichaya, commanding General 1 st, and Mr.Jamnien Pativethwanakij, Governor of Phetchabun in the past, cooperated to have Khao Kho Palace constructed to be the residence of His Majesty the King. The palace comprises of 15 rooms and has a unique semicircle shape. The garden is decorated with colorful plants and flowers of cold climate. was built 2 floors.

Weapon Museum
This museum is located on the top of Khao Kho which was an important base of cannon to support the battle. The museum displays old weapons.


Amphoe Lomsak
Mural Paintings at Wat Nasai
Wat Nasai or Wat Simongkon is located at Ban Nasai, Tambon Wangban. The mural paintings on 4 walls of the chapel are regarded as ancient beautiful paintings of the story of the Lord Buddha (10 Times Incarnation of the Lord Buddha) and these paintings reflect the way of social life in each incarnation such as occupation: hunting and fishing, marine trade, Chinese workers with pigtail hair, hell and paradise paintings, etc.

Pha Muang Plants Garden
It is a place of big swamp with nice atmosphere. It used to be called "Nong Naree".
Monument of King Pha MuangIt is situated on Naree Phattana Road, Mu.5 Tambol Sa-Kieng behind indoor Stadium of Phetchabun, 2 Kilometers from Down town.

The Monument of King Pha Muang
This monument is erected in memory of royal grace, bravery, firmness, sacrifice and fame of King Pha Muang who cooperated with King Bang Klang Thao, governor of Muang Bangyang, to defeat the Khmers out of Sukhothai, a major frontier post of the Khmer Empire, and established it as the capital of Thai Kingdom. King Pha Muang also appointed King Bang KlangThao as King of Sukhothai Dynasty. The Monument of King Pha Muang is located in Pho Khun Pha Muang Boyscout Camp, 3 kms. from Lomsak District.

Phu Hin Rongkla National Park
This park is historical battle field of the conflicts of ideology faith and political idea. There are ruins left over to see such as the office of State Power, the Hospital, the Political and Military School and the Water wheel. The surrounding also provides unusual natural sceneries. The area of stone platform with deep crevices is called "Lan Hin Taek" and the one with jutting boulders is called "Lan Hin Pum". There are also a few beautiful waterfalls in the national park area. Phu Hin Rong Kla is accessible via Phetchabun-Lomsak Route where a left turn is to be made through Highway NO.12 to Ban Yaeng and proceed on to Amphoe-Nakhon Thai where an access road branches off to the park. Nam Nao National ParkThe Nam Nao National Park is an immense tract of forest still in perfect condition. With pineries, grasslands and virgin jungles, it is habitat to large number of animals and more than 100 species of birds. During December-January, the mercury could drop to as low as 2-5 Lom Sak district on Highway NO.12. Points of interest are spread out. attractions reached by taking Highway NO.12 (Lom Sak-Chumphae) included:-

Tham Pha Hong,
300 meters off the main road at Km. 39 to the north. Within the caves are formations of stalactites and stalagmites. It is also a point from which to view the scenery at sunset.

Phu Kum Khao Pinery,
15 kms. off the main road at Km.53. Dense rolls of pine trees cover an area of about 10 sq.kms.

Haew Sai & Sai Thong Waterfalls
are both located on the same route and can be reached on foot for a distance of 1 km. and 1.5 kms. respectively off the main road at Km.67. There are also attractions on Highway NO.2216 (Lomkao-Huay Sanam Sai)such as Pha Lom-Pha Kong cliffs which are 5 kms. from the main road at Km.40 and the Tham yai Nam Nao cave near Km.60. Sab Chom Phoo Waterfall
This waterfall is located at Ban Sab Chom Phoo, Mu.8, Tambon Ban Phot. It is a big waterfall with plenty of water in rainy season and little water in summer The waterfall is amid the evergreen forest. The surrounding also makes it a pleasant spot for picnic.

Si Thep Historical Park
Si Thep city is situated 107 kms. from Phetchabun township area on Phu Khae-Lomsak Road, 25 kms. from Amphoe Wichienburi where an 8 kms. access road branches off on the left to Si Thep City during the prosperous ancient Khmer period having a lot of archaeological ruins and objects. The Park is open daily from 8.30-16.30 hrs.

Shrine of King Naresuan the Great
This shrine is situated at Tambon Tharon, King Naresuan was one of the great kings in Ayutthaya Period. He once led the front army to Wichienburi city where he drove away the Khmers who invaded the country. On January 25, it has become an annual tradition of spirit sacrifice of King Naresuan the Great. A big celebration is held to commemorate the brace deed of the King.
