Destination Guide
PHETCHABURI

Lake View Princess Golf ClubAdventure is the style of this absorbing course. Greens are the well defined fairways provide the necessary pointers for golfers to retain a sense of direction. Rolling fairways and spectacular mounding around the greens can make some approach shots quite tricky. The par-three fourteenth is one of the outstanding holes on the course in that both tees and green are islands within a large lake, only accessible by footbridges from the mainland. The 75-room hotel adjoining the clubhouse commands fine views over the golf courses and mountains beyond.

Palm Hills Golf ClubThe rolling and undulating fairways of the golf course give Palm Hills a distinctive identity which is different from all the other courses in the area. The 18 holes are arranged in two distinctive nines, separated by the beautiful clubhouse and a rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range. The course runs from east to west, with lakes at each end. The greens can be fast with some very tricky burrows. While playing the second nine holes, players are rewarded with some breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand.

Sawang Resort Golf ClubFour sets of Teeing grounds make this course a fair test for all classes of players. The course is set in a valley and blends harmoniously with the surrounding hills. Water comes into play on twelve holes and accurate shot making is called for. The seventeenth is one of six dog-leg holes and players have to contend with water on the left flank and on the green. The eighteenth is an excellent finishing hole, demanding an accurate tee shot to avoid the water on both sides of the fairway. The second shot also has to be "placed" to avoid hitting into the water on the right of the fairway. There is a big clubhouse, hotel and condominiums, plus a sports center.

Springfield Royal Golf ClubSpringfield is generally considered as one of the premier golfing resorts of Thailand. The course is an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all standards. The opening holes reveal the need for accuracy and the character of the course becomes more intriguing, as length is also an important factor on many of the following holes. These are mostly flank by a series of hillocks covered by a forest of young trees, and the fairways thread their way through well-placed hazards towards greens of the highest international standard. Hotel accommodations are available.

Cha Am Global Villageis the golf course with 18 holes and located on the way to Cha am via the route 4 from Bangkok. The golf course had been operated as Cha am Villa Golf Club and changed to Cha Am Global Village recently. The 18 holes are laid out on the flat fields. It seems to take a time to operate the course in the good conditions.
